Hello hivers and creatives. Very happy Monday, today I come with a very simple tutorial, but full of intention, it is a spiritual doll, a long time ago I went to a coffee expo and from the land of Guatemala they gave me a sample with a doll quitapenas, you put them under your pillow whispering your need and so she in the dream takes it, from there I started to investigate.

The spiritual doll is a tool to focus your energy with symbology, in this case I made it as a test and the purpose of embodying and evoking the blooming of spring and abundance. I used paper for the pattern, pencil, paint, raw fabric, cotton, scissors, sewing machine, thread and needle. For the pattern I was inspired by some leaf patterns I had seen.

So I took it to the fabric, leaving 1 cm of seam, cut 2 pieces, and then pass it through the sewing machine, with great patience for the many curves it has, leaving a space without sewing wide enough to fill it with cotton and help of a pencil or brush, something with that shape that reaches all the extremities of the spiritual doll.

Once it was well quilted we closed it with a hidden hand stitching, now let's go to the part that I thought would be easy but was challenging, the painting, but first with a pencil I made the basic shapes, then with the smaller brush I painted and decorated much more. Starting with the face, and the heart that is always in my works.

And that was my first spiritual doll, with the intention of evoking spring. What did you think, did you know them? I can't wait to make other dolls with other symbolism, what would it be like?
