STACH POEMETRY: HAPPINESS I FOUND

When I first heard about you it sounded foreign
Then I wondered who could this be so talked about
Hallowed in the lips and hearts of many
I loved to be a part of the joy and happiness expressed
As hands were lifted up in worship in the assembly
I stood in awe of such love to one that can not be seen

I found my way again to the gathering
This time, it was a bigger crowd of worshipers
What could be the attraction that draws men women alike
To a gathering where the language spoken is love
Then I let myself go in the euphoria of the atmosphere
A feeling of joy peace and happiness engulfed me from within

Suddenly I heard a call to surrender to this love
The love that knew no bounds and was sacrificial
Not so sure of what it was or what I was doing
The excitement to be counted among the brethren
Moved my feet to the foot of the alter as the preacher kept calling
I was overwhelmed with great joy like I have never known as my heart pounds within me

I raised my hands in total surrender to one true God
Whose love I have finally found and could never have imagined
My day was fulfilled my heart was glad and my life a new meaning
I was thankfully smiling back to my seat because I have found it love happiness and joy
I have found the missing puzzle in my life just within a twincle of an eye
I will cherish this day for the rest of my life for Jesus is the Lord of my life.
