What is a SEO Backlink or Inbound Link?
Any link back to your website from another website is called a backlink because it links back to your site or post or an inbound link because it links into your website from an outside source.
I know it is the same thing, said differently.
Backlinks should be as close as possible to 100% from related content pages and niche websites and can be keyword-rich anchor text like Google Search Engine, Non-keyword text like, "Click Here" or straight URL like google.com.
If you have all or mostly one type Google may see these links as artificial such as using link farms or overuse of Private Blog Networks called PBNs. Likewise, if the sites are too general, such as Joe's chicken shack linking to PETA or Deluxe Tailors you could be seen as spamming your links and thus spamming google so use sound processes to get recommendations from other sites as naturally as possible.
