What you should know about paracetamol!

Paracetamol is a common name for the drug called acetaminophen.
People use paracetamol (acetaminophen) indiscriminately. Its is gotten from all pharmaceutical shop. Its belong to a class of drugs called non steroidal antiinflammatory drug. Its acts by blocking cox1 and cox 2. Its in the same class with aspirin, ibuprofen and they are basically called analgesic.
Too much paracetamol can cause the following

  1. It can cause liver damage. Its is called chronic hepatitis. It will lead to damage of several metabolism in your body. Recommended dose to be use daily is 3000mg per adult. For people having liver problem before there is increase rate of having more chronic damage.
    I scholar said and I quote

dose separate drugs from poison. Once you exceed the recommended dose you are taking in poison. It can cause liver damage or death.

  1. Also paracetamol has proved to cause chronic ulcer. If you take too much paracetamol you're prone to have ulcer which is the wearing of the stomach surface.

How you will recognise overdose are loss of appetite, nausea, emesis, severe pain in the stomach especially in the upper right side.
Also for pet lovers, it's not use in cats. If done, the cats dies immediately.

Common ways excess dose is taking are...

taking the next dose too soon

using multiple medicines that contain acetaminophen at the same time

taking too much at one time

Acetaminophen is safe and effective when used as directed. However, acetaminophen is a common ingredient in many medications, and it’s possible to take too much without realizing it. It’s also possible to take too much without thinking of the risks. Even though it’s readily available, acetaminophen comes with serious safety warnings and risks. To stay safe, make sure to do the following when you use acetaminophen:

Always read and follow the medicine label.

Know if your medicines contain acetaminophen.

Take only one medicine at a time that contains acetaminophen.

Ask your healthcare provider or a pharmacist if you have questions about dosing instructions or medicines with acetaminophen.

Make sure to keep all medications where children can’t reach them
