SPC SnowParkCamp advert for v2.3 ft. Marc Andre Tarte

Hey Y’all,
Today we’re going back, waay back to the early Method Mag days, back to the beginning of the century,
I was putting this SPC advert together ready for Method Mag v2.3, and I remember voicing my concerns to Drew Stevenson about the objectification of women and should we be using tits to sell a snowboard camp to teenage kids blah blah etc etc.
Klaus “Captain Kaos” Marco had just hired two strippers to bare their all, wave their tops in the air and jiggle their bits either side of a cheering crowd of SPC Staff, campers and assorted rabble.
These days these things don’t seem to bother me quite so much, maybe I’ve chilled out a bit in the last couple of decades, maybe I’ve gone and lost my moral compass, or maybe we’ve all been desensitized to the sex and violence we’re continuously exposed to on screens in games and on the front of daily tabloids, pretty much rammed down our throats.
When we shot this ad, I did actually meet the girls, I even gave them a lift from their hotel to the scene of the crime, and I also know how much they got paid for a couple of hrs work. It was considerably more than I was getting for shooting snowboarding at the camp all week, ( I was the SPC video guy and I made a mini movie every week, about the week, then we’d take over the Mayrhofen cinema for the farewell party and project the results to the departing campers., rinse and repeat!)
So here’s the disclaimer - If you object to the only 2 women among a crowd of 50 or so testosterone fueled, leering, cheering snowboarding miss-fits then please watch another video, this ones Not for you.
If on the other hand you don’t object, in-fact you love the odd clip containing jiggling juggs,
then go ahead watch it.
All sexism aside, I think it was done in best possible taste, and they are very fine specimens.
The snowboarding’s not too shabby either, Marc Andre Tarte hitting the 45m mega jump in a very nice baby blue dinner jacket @ SPC55 Stubai Glacier 2002.
