Titans vs Raiders Preview!
Ah yes, the Titans are pretty much a quarter of the way through the season. Officially the last game of this light blue block. Time flies.

Baseball season is nearing it's end, basketball season approaches, Halloween is in less than three weeks. Fun stuff.
This week the Titans stay out west and are set to face the Raiders out in Las Vegas. A battle of 1-4 teams. If the Titans want to kinda hang around at all and be remotely competitive from a standings standpoint, this is the week to start a winning streak. The Raiders have been struggling nearly as bad as the Titans. Of course their records are the same but I'll admit the Raiders are likely better but, Sunday will really determine what's what I guess.
If the Titans have any sense they will not be delusional and believe last week's victory can be repeated in many ways. Last week's win was like a fever dream, so many jaw dropping, mind blowingly strange things had to go their way. One thing they will want to replicate is their effort which was solid, they had more fight than I expected.
Perhaps last week's strange win will keep the Titans in the middle as far as their mentality is concerned. While the win was rather fluky, I still think the win warrants a mild confidence boost, which is not something they could say through the first four weeks.
This will be undoubtedly a weird game I feel. Both pretty bad teams, but still trying to fight and find their identities. With a lot of season left, they both still have a lot to play for as well.
Maxx Crosby and Ashton Jeanty are two Raiders that scare me the most. I respect Geno Smith but his weapons really are not all that impressive. He's a gamer though and he's the last player I want to write off or underestimate.
Cam Ward of the Titans looks like he's gaining confidence and wants to win. I can say I do notice him improving which is fantastic. I hope the Titans involve Tyjae Spears more, the back up running back made his return last week but I am hoping this week he gets some more touches. I like what the Titans are attempting to create as far as using both tight ends in Chig Okonkwo and Gunnar Helm are concerned. That combo could be special.
No idea who wins but, I hope they do. They CAN win but I'm still keeping my expectations fairly low.
Should be fun, another late afternoon game is pretty cool. Allows me to enjoy the day of football a bit better.

Another hour of my life playing Madden a year and a half ago! HA. It's rather trippy in a basic lo-fi sort of way to always have a mini time capsule of an hour of my life displayed in video game format.
