🌎My Thoughts on the Sports World Today🌎

In the real world, the MLB season continues, the NFL preseason begins shortly, the NBA is highly anticipating where LeBron will go to play next season, and another UFC Fight Night just happened.

In the MLB, the 2026 All-Star Game occurred a little over a week ago, and despite the American League being the significantly weaker league, they actually defeated the National League 4-0!

Jordan Walker of the Cardinals won the Home Run Derby in a very tightly contested contest. Kyle Schwarber almost won it in front of the hometown crowd in Philadelphia but ultimately lost 12-11 in the final round.

The Red Sox are on absolute fire right now, as they've won 15 games in a row! They're on the verge of breaking an 80 year-old team record.

• My Phillies have turned it around big time, Zack Wheeler is on fire and is firmly in the Cy Young race in a big way with a 10-2 record, 2.16 ERA, and a 0.88 WHIP.

• My A's are basically falling off a cliff. The pitching staff injuries as well as the Brent Rooker and Nick Kurtz injuries, have started to catch up with them.

In the NBA, the biggest story is probably the anticipation of where LeBron James is going to play next season. Even though he's going to be 42 in this upcoming season, he's still a very good player, and one of the biggest stars on the planet, period.

While some may find waiting around for LeBron annoying, at the end of the day, he's bare minimum the second greatest NBA player of all-time. He won't play forever. The day he leaves, the league will not be the same. His longevity is truly inspirational.

The Heat, Cavs, Sixers, and Warriors are pretty much the main teams he's apparently interested in. I think they all have unique, compelling cases. I truly have no clue where he goes. I really hope it's the Sixers!

In the UFC, Conor McGregor got instantly injured in his fight recently and well, all I'm gonna say is, it's officially over. His actual fighting career was pretty much over to begin with but, there's zero doubt now. His era was incredible while it lasted, and he'll always be a legend. At this point though, I'm not going to be that excited the next time he fights, I'll be honest. If he does shock me, cool. But meh, I'm not about to get my hopes up again whatsoever.

Dricus Du Plessis defeated Kamaru Usman quite easily a few days ago and he continues to have an excellent career honestly. I have zero complaints about the guy. He's elite in the cage, classy and confident outside of it. More fighters should be like him. The guy is only 32 as well by the way. He's definitely got a lot left in the tank and I believe will only increase his legacy!

The first NFL preseason game goes down in just 15 days, pretty much two weeks! Let's go! It's Panthers vs Cardinals.

I know I've fallen off with my baseball posts, and that's going to stay that way for quite awhile if I'm being honest. I have some major life changes happening at the moment.

As a matter of fact, fairly soon I'm going to be completely postless for several weeks straight. I may mention more about this specifically at a later date.

I'm grateful I'll be around for the first NFL Preseason game at least! Kinda trippy. Time, and life, is crazy.
