💾 Backup & Restore — Take Your Data With You!

One of the most highly requested features is finally landing: a full local database and preferences backup & restore system built directly into the app.

You'll be able to back up your Actifit app data locally and restore it whenever you need — whether you're switching devices, doing a factory reset, or just want peace of mind knowing your data is safe. The entire feature is also fully localized across all supported languages, so every user gets a seamless experience in their native tongue. 🌍

🏆 Visual Achievement "Flex" Cards — Show Off Your Gains!

Brand new social sharing feature incoming: visual achievement "Flex" cards! 💥

When you hit a milestone or achievement in Actifit, you'll be able to generate a beautiful shareable card and flex it across your social networks. Whether it's a step milestone, a streak, or a rank upgrade — show the world what you've been working for! More achievement types and card designs will follow in subsequent releases.

🖼️ Enhanced Image Carousel With Navigation Controls

The image browsing experience for posts is getting a serious upgrade:

• Navigation controls (arrows + dots indicator) added to the image carousel for easy multi-image browsing.
• Loading spinners for a smoother visual experience while images are fetching.
• Scroll state persistence so your position in a carousel is remembered when navigating away and back.
• Fixed a long-standing image recycling bug in the post adapter causing incorrect preview images to appear in the feed.
• Resolved multiple image artifact issues — no more stray "image" text appearing where previews should be, and no more distorted or broken placeholder images.

🌐 Hive RPC Node Fallback Mechanism

Reliability matters! We're baking in a Hive RPC node automatic fallback directly in the app. If the primary Hive node fails or becomes unresponsive, the app will silently switch to an alternative node — keeping your posts, votes, and blockchain interactions flowing without any disruption. 🔄

🤖 Reward Bot — Hive SBI Integration is LIVE! 🎊

As of this week, we have officially launched a meaningful upgrade to the Actifit reward cycle: the integration of Hive Stake-Based Income (SBI) into our reward distribution system — and it's already running! Several community members have already been selected and rewarded with their first SBI units since the launch. 🥳

This integration provides selected users with long-term Hive equity through automated SBI units — a form of recurring, passive basic income on the Hive blockchain. It's our way of giving back even more to our amazing active community! 🙌

🎯 How the New SBI Selection Works

In each rewards cycle, the Actifit bot now identifies up to 5 unique winners across three categories:

💡 What is Hive SBI?

For those unfamiliar, Hive SBI is a Hive cooperative that provides participants with a recurring source of upvote rewards. When Actifit sends you an SBI unit, you are enrolled in the program and begin receiving ongoing upvotes on your Hive posts — essentially passive Hive income that compounds over time. A great complement to your daily AFIT and Hive rewards! 🐝

📱 Android — Already Released: Stability & Crash Fixes

Alongside new feature development, we've pushed out a solid round of fixes to the live app, addressing crash and stability issues across various devices — especially on Android 14+:

• Fixed ForegroundServiceStartNotAllowedException when the app attempts to start a foreground service from the background, with a proper fallback to notificationManager.notify() to keep things running smoothly.
• Fixed ForegroundServiceDidNotStartInTimeException related to Android 14's stricter foreground service timing requirements.
• Resolved multiple IllegalArgumentException cases in PendingIntent popups (reminders, 5K/10K notifications) related to background activity start mode settings.
• Fixed out-of-memory (OOM) errors on step sync operations, with additional OOM safeguards across the board.
• Fixed a crash on non-numeric user rank values.
• Fixed NullPointerException on the set username flow.
• Fixed crashes in the main screen and settings on specific devices.
• Added a safety guard to prevent crashes in the settings screen when notificationAdapter is not yet initialized.
• Fixed a potential issue with BaseActivity.onCreate affecting all fragment implementations across the app.
• Decreased sensor manager delay to reduce memory pressure during step tracking.
• Fixed Glide-based errors on login and slides display.
