How to make AI give you an honest feed-back

For the last months, I've been using AI quite a lot mainly for brainstorming but also to generate content, thumbnails, titles and descriptions for youtube. After a while, I've realized that AI considers all my ideas as masterpieces and best projects ever. It's very nice to hear that my ideas are great but unfortunately, it's not really true. Most LLM's are built like all the other algorithms on the internet, they want to keep you there as much as possible and this works best when they tell you what you want to hear...

Nice for the ego but bad for efficiency

So on one hand it's great to feel confirmed in our beliefs and our creativity but it's not really efficient. When you believe that you are on something, you tend to go down that rabbit hole with a lot of enthusiasms but it's only later that you realize that maybe, your idea isn't that great after all. It can be a lot of lost time and energy.

My project

My idea is to create a personalized AI advisor that not only tells me when an idea is bad but also works differently than all the LLM's out there. Let's be honest, we are all using the same software and the chances that we get very similar answer is rather big. Most people using AI chats, tend to do it in a similar fashion, using short prompts that lead to standardized answers.

I'm in the process of building a machine that not only gives answers that fit my voice, my brand and my ideas but also gets the best information possible and then learns from it's own work.

Free tools only

I'm accumulating AI subscriptions and for this AI advisor, I'm going to use only tools that are free to use. I will use gemini and more precisely gemini gems, which are customizable LLM's. The great thing about gemini, a part from being free to use, is that it is linked to the whole ecosystem of google which comprises AI tools like Notebook LM, Veo 3.1, Nano Banana pro but also other tools that come in quite handy like Google sheets or google docs.

I will try to build this AI advisor for youtube packaging in public so that you can follow along and reproduce it if you want.
