The Information Trap

We read all the right books and listen to endless podcasts, but we still feel completely stuck and unable to move forward in our careers. I know that feeling well, so believe me, I get it. We consume more information in a week than our grandparents did in years, yet this constant flow rarely translates into real professional movement.

Leemos todos los libros correctos y escuchamos podcasts sin parar, pero seguimos sintiéndonos completamente estancados y sin poder avanzar en nuestra carrera. Conozco muy bien esa sensación, así que créeme, te entiendo. Consumimos más información en una semana que nuestros abuelos en años, y aun así, ese flujo constante rara vez se traduce en un avance profesional real.

But here is what I have learned, and I had to learn it the hard way. You cannot read your way out of feeling stuck, because passive consumption is an illusion of progress. Real transformation only happens when you stop overloading your brain and take action, even if it is just one small step each day.

Pero esto es lo que he aprendido, y me tocó aprenderlo por las malas. No puedes salir del estancamiento a punta de lecturas, porque el consumo pasivo es una ilusión de progreso. La transformación real solo sucede cuando dejas de saturar tu mente y pasas a la acción, aunque sea con un pequeño paso hoy.

So here is a question for you, and only you can answer it honestly, are you using podcasts and books as an excuse to delay doing the actual work.
