In order to meet the 2020 Olympic Games, Takakura Keio (50 years old), owner of the "Butterfly House" in the kimono store in Kurume, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, proposed the "KIMONO PROJECT" project in 2014 to produce different kimonos. Represents 196 countries in the world. Traditional culture conveys the concept of “the same world”.
The program was assisted by more than 130 kimono creators and artisans from Japan, including Yonezawa, Yamagata, Jingyou Chan in Kyoto, and Ryukyu in Okinawa Prefecture. Elements such as color and pattern.
Four years later, the producers have completed the production of 100 kimonos.
