I WAS WRONG

In an era where an 18 year old is responsible for everything that happens to him or her, I took decisions without considering the outcome if it's gonna be positive or negative.
I thought I was right.

I was scolded not to loose focus on my goal and concentrate on hard work and determination, but I backed up my unseriousness with this saying; "All work no play makes Jack a dull boy"

I got addicted to social media trying to impress my followers and got no time for self-development and my future.

I wanted to feel among and get to do those things that were trending in order to meet up with the standard of the society.
I thought I was right

Still on my quest to trend and not to be left behind, i got involved in some illicit acts, which turned out to become threats to my life.
I thought I was right.

I mistook waywardness for modesty, bad gang for friendship and lust for love.
I thought I was was right.

I was eager to give in to anything that will guarantee success without stress, even if it will demand using my soul to pay the price.
I thought that was a right decision.

I was cheered by those that had the same thought like me, the echo of their applause
made me think I was on the right path.
