2018 - A Year in Bitfilms

Here is a look back at the Bitfilms we produced in 2018.  As you can see, we had a lot of fun making them!

Our biggest production was the series Dash 101, which consists of eight episodes in five languages: English, Spanish, German, Russian and French. For each series we casted a native speaker and combined her talk with animations made by Inés Trigub and Santiago Toyos from Argentina.

This is the trailer that we showed at our premiere party in January:

And here are some episodes:

Dash 101 English Episode 1 with Rachel Bassini

Dash 101 Spanish Episode 2 with Lara Lopez

Dash 101 German Episode 3 with Karoline Lehner

Dash 101 Russian Episode 4 with Ksenia Belman

Dash 101 French Episode 5 with Roxanne Malik

In January 2018 we also finished this animation for the mining company Bit & Coin, which was heavily inspired by one of my favourite bands. Guess who?

In February and March we made a live action video (with some animated elements) for the home repair service Bob's Repair. The film looks and sounds very US American, but it was shot in Cancún and Playa del Carmen, Mexico.

From March to May we worked on this 3D animation for Savebox.io, a service that makes your Bitcoins grow. It was fun to work with Vukan Buric and his team from Belgrade again after a long time. For this film we used a piece of art by Cryptograffiti, who himself used the famous artwork "LOVE" by Richard Indiana to interpret the Bitcoin meme HODL.

In May and June we made a film for Guld Games, which was partly shot in a studio, partly animated. It was fun to work with Ralf Sommer, a professional croupier. We learned a lot from him about Roulette, Poker and Dice games.

In June and July we produced this film for the social media platform Traderlink. It mainly consists of stock footage with some shots of me wearing a suit and tie, which I do very rareley (you don't see my face).

After that I focussed on writing my new book, so I stopped accepting new clients for a while. Currently we are working on a very exciting, but still confidential film project. More about this soon.
