Cop Car 2050 Concept
Howdy artists of Hive, I modeled a concept car for the nearest future, one that is a lot faster and does not use wheels.
I have shared some of my workflow images here, I maintained a quad retopology through out the mesh workflow, I used modifiers like the shrinkwrap, solidify ,sub division surface and importantly the mirror modifiers since cars are very symmetrical.
As I continued to work, I discovered I had a lot of geometry in my scene and that this was just a concept because the poly count wasn't probably not suitable for games.
I actually had this car modeled a few weeks back but as they say "man proposes , God disposes".
I got caught up trying to solve some issues so I had to pause texturing.
I modified a car paint setup I had before , I noticed as I kept using it , I started to understand that my node setups were probably not the best. I made few adjustments to the materials and did some texture painting. I could not texture paint the whole model because I had applied my modifiers. Trust me that's a lot of faces to work with. lol.
I started quite some projects since I started using Blender and as the year ends I have resolved that some would end as WIP (Works In Progress) and I'm totally fine with that.
From now to the new year will see me get better and finish new projects I start on.
With that being said, I have shared some of my workflow screenshots and I really hope to see these type of cars by 2050... lol and by then I'll be a very pro artist, the best of my time.
