MONOMAD CHALLENGE - “Store houses”
“Store houses”
When walking the Camino we would often come across these raised structures. I was intrigued by them and initially thought they were graves. On investigation with locals we were told that they were actually raised food stores.
They were built to keep the food accessible in the winter months when heavy snow fell.
There are so many beautiful things to see along the way in Spain while walking.
Hope you like it.
