Experts have created the world's shortest robots and microscopic sensors but giving them electricity is still a big issue.

In view of the problem, Scientists of Chemnitz University of Technology have developed the world's smallest battery which is the equivalent of a grain of salt. According to him, it is inspired by the Swiss roll which is self made.

Comes into existence under the organization (self Assembly). It will be firstly used in a robot and sensor inside the body. Giving them electricity Which is an old problem. This battery is 150 nanometers wide and 60,000 times smaller than a AAA battery.

According to a study on the world’s smallest battery, the new design allows it to meet the two basic requirements for integration into microcomputers. First, it must feature a minimum energy density of 100 microwatt-hour per square centimeter.

It is actually a cross between a battery and a supercapacitor.

Supercapacitors can deliver more power at once than batteries. The diminutive battery is made by the thousands in dense arrays. Each battery is a nanowire, with one half of the wire working as a negative electrode and the other half as a positive electrode.
Such a battery produces 100 microwatts of electricity per square centimeter
