Abject Failure and dealing with the dassapointment

Source

Things did not go as planned, but there is something more than the situation that is affecting my actions.

I think that I am noticing a pattern of behaviour in myself, and I think that talking it through and studying will possibly make it easier to deal with it.

Last weekend I had the determination to get a move on and make an effort to grow my account back up again. I had motive, I had the means. Did it happen? No way!

Instead of posting every day, or more like I used to do, I ended up posting a single post for the whole week.

Bottom line, I failed to hit my target. There was a failure to complete and a failure to commit. And from that failure grows more fear. And soon enough, I find reasons to procrastinate and delay doing anything at all!

This sort of behaviour or mindset is self-perpetuating. A fear of failure while limiting your actions means that there is a higher chance of failure and this is something that I need to fix.

I had aspirations to re-build my HP!
I had aspirations to write fiction again, including Maledictus Terra!
I was planning on getting back on the horse regarding my Warhammer Datasheet review series.

Well what to do?

I have identified that I have a problem.

I have written THIS post.

Right now I need to learn of a way to convince myself not to be mentally in a ditch and get get things done! I shall try a few things and report on the results! Perhaps my findings will be helpful to others as well!

We shall see.

Thank you

Cheers!
