Chasing Waves at Calicoan, Guiuan
Hello, Hive friends! How's your day going?
I'd like to share some fun-filled shots I took on Calicoan Island during my vacation in my hometown, Guiuan, Eastern Samar, last week. I took a 5-day break from work to celebrate my youngest daughter's 7th birthday. After all the tiring preparations for the birthday, this mama deserved some beach time, and there was no better place to go than Calicoan.
Calicoan is known as the surfing capital of Eastern Visayas. It has gained immense popularity among both local and international tourists. Just last month, the 2nd leg of the Philippine National surfing competition was held here.
Here's an aerial view from Jeff Caliso's FB Post during the preparations for the surfing competition.
So, if you're a surfer or a beach lover like me, be sure to add Guiuan, Eastern Samar, to your bucket list of places to visit in the Philippines. I hope to see you in my hometown sometime soon. Stay amazing!
