Hola, querida comunidad de Hive, en este hermoso día lleno de energía y tradición, quiero compartir con ustedes una interpretación muy especial que me llena de orgullo como amante del folklore venezolano. Se trata de un joropo recio en el Arpa llanera, ejecutado en el tono de Re mayor, titulado “Seis por Derecho”.

Esta pieza representa una de las formas más vibrantes y exigentes del joropo y me animé a tocarla porque normalmente les comparto pasajes más suaves pero hoy quise cambiar el ritmo y traerles fuerza y velocidad. El acompañamiento en el cuatro está a cargo del talentoso maestro @ramonpaez, quien con su maestría le da ese fondo rítmico que impulsa cada nota del arpa. Su ejecución precisa y llena de sabor complementa perfectamente la intensidad del recio, logrando una fusión que honra nuestras raíces musicales.

El Seis por Derecho es una de las formas más emblemáticas del joropo tradicional. Se caracteriza por su estructura rítmica acelerada, su métrica de seis por derecho y por ser una pieza que exige gran destreza tanto del arpista como del cuatrista. Es comúnmente interpretado en fiestas, parrandas y encuentros llaneros, donde el virtuosismo se celebra con aplausos y zapateos. Esta forma musical no solo pone a prueba la técnica, sino que también transmite la fuerza y el carácter del pueblo venezolano.

Estoy participando con esta interpretación en la semana 151, ronda 1 del Hive Music Festival, y lo hago con mucha emoción y respeto por nuestra música. The accompaniment on the cuatro is provided by the talented maestro @ramonpaez, who with his mastery gives it that rhythmic background that drives every note of the harp. His precise and flavorful performance perfectly complements the intensity of the strong, achieving a fusion that honors our musical roots.

El Seis por Derecho is one of the most emblematic forms of traditional joropo. It is characterized by its fast-paced rhythmic structure, its six-beat meter, and by being a piece that demands great skill from both the harpist and the cuatro player. It is commonly performed at parties, parrandas, and llanero gatherings, where virtuosity is celebrated with applause and foot stomping.
