Snowman christmas Candy basket
It is that time of the year again when we get to celebrate love by gifting of any kind.
In the spirit of love and DIY contest, I decided to make a Christmas snowman candy basket.
Material used:
Yarns
Crochet needle
Scissors
Cotton wool
Steps involved: every step in bed in this project is like a repetition of the same pattern.
For the Basket: I started by making a magic ring then I made a chain of one and seven single crochet inside the magic ring and ended with a slip stitch. I went further into making two single crochet inside the stitches and ended with a slip stitch for row two.
For the next row to my desired length, I made two single crochet in the next two stitches and two single crochet inside the next stitch; I increased the number of single crochet as I proceeded further by one. After a few rows, I was done with my basket.
For the Arm: I made a magic ring and continued by making a chain of one and four single crochet, then I made a slip stitch to end that row. For the next row, I made a chain of one and two single crochet inside each stitch and ended with a slip stitch. For the next rows, I continued with a single crochet till it got to my desired length, and I ended by making a reduced crochet.
For the head: I started by making a magic ring and a chain of one and six single crochet then I continued by making two single crochet inside each stitch and ended by making a slip stitch. I repeated the same process as the basket and ended with a reduced crochet to join the opening. And I used black yarn to create the eyes.
For the Hat: I started by making a chain of fourteen then I went further into making a single crochet in each of the stitches after skipping the first one. Then I turned my work and continued making a single crochet till it got to my desired length. Then I joined the edges using a yarn and my crochet needle. Then I wrapped my yarn around my fingers till I got seventy of it, then cut it out with scissors, trimmed it it to the length I wanted, and joined it to the hat.
For the Nose: I started with a magic ring and one chain and a single crochet of six, then I ended with a slip stitch. I continued by making two single crochet in each of the stitches and ended with slip stitches. I went further into making a single crochet inside each of the stitches till I was done with it.
So I joined everything I've made so far so enable me get my snowman basket.
After the joining was done, I got this result.
Then I decided to make it look fancy by putting some candies in the basket since its called candy basket.
