What is EthicHub?

EthicHub is a new upcoming DAO that seeks to make it easier for investors to lend money to farmers, who often borrow at EXTREMELY high interest rates (120%+)!

This is due to lack of banking in 3rd world countries, however with cryptocurrencies, banking is becoming available to more and more people in these countries.

So basically, it enables users to lend to farmers and get returns in the form of interest, as this has very high returns on investment.

Token Sale

Of course, to run this, an ERC20 token called Ethix is being sold. It has a starting price of 0.64 USD, and will occur in Q3 2018.

Interestingly, they say they will have a prototype by then, unlike most blockchain companies which release a prototype 1+ years from their token sale, so this is a good way to ensure you're not being scammed.

The total supply will be 100M, so it would need a market cap of 64M USD to ensure the initial price of 0.64 USD remains, however the circulating supply will likely be less so maybe around 30-40M USD for the 0.64 USD price. It only needs to be in the top 250 coins for this to occur, so it seems like a reasonable price.

Verdict

I like the idea, helping farmers by giving them more reasonable loans, which gives them less interest and investors access to a good and environmentally beneficial investment. Although, since everything is run with a smart contract, I assume things will be paid in cryptocurrency, so I'm not sure how a farmer will be able to buy things with crypto. However, it is a while until this project is fully released, so maybe there will be more usage of crypto as a payment method until then.

The service's usage may enable for some pretty high ROI, so that may be something to look out for when it releases.
