Mum's Birthday Celebration 🥳

Hello Hivers of #weekendcommunity , a blessed Sunday morning to you all. Trust you are all faring well? It's me again @yhubee. I feel elated to participate in this week's #weekend-engagement topics as I choose to write on this topic:

•What would you rather be doing instead of what you're actually doing this weekend and why?

For me, I'd be with my mum, celebrating her birthday. Today,14th, January, happens to be the day my mum was brought to the cosmos by my grandparents. Whether we get to throw her a party or not, I love being where my mum is on her special day.

Last year, I was not around where she was but, I had to go back because I could make it work. I can still remember the surprise and the glimpse of joy that I saw on my mother's face. She told me she did not expect me to come because it happened to be on my work day and as at then, there was a hike in fuel price. Thus, things were hard and the cost of transportation from where I was to where she resided was quite huge.

Regardless, I was able to go and see her and I gifted her with jewelries which I do see her using some of it till date-- yea! That's how precious 💞 the gifts were and still are to her. This action of hers gives me a sense of self-worth -- taking absolute care of things people gift to her until they fade with time.

This are the pictures I took with her using some of the gifts I gave to her. I made the dress she is wearing myself 🥰🤗

So this is me telling you that instead of staying here reading, doing term papers to submit in preparation for school Examination that would start tomorrow, I would have loved to go and see my mom.

Since I can not go to where she resides today, I called her early this morning to wish her well ; I prayed for her.
Asides this, I had already prepared a gift to take to her any day I go to see her. I made a beautiful gown for her-- which I'd love to show you all one of this days.
