Twisted Jester - Splinterlands Art Contest Week 252
Greetings my dear Hive community!!!
Hello my dear Hivers!!!
And warm greetings to all of you who are fans of the #Splinterlands game. I hope you are having a beautiful night.
For today I bring you my entry for the weekly #Splinterlands art contest... And for this occasion I chose to make the -=Twisted Jester=- card. If I'm not wrong, I think this is the third time I make it but the truth is that it is one of my favorites and also, this time I wanted to represent a feminine version of this card. 🫣
The truth is that I plan to do it a fourth time, but I'm still not very clear about some of the details of my idea, so it's still in postproduction lol... But yes, you will see a fourth rendering of this card soon. I hope I won't bore you guys. 😅😅😅
And as you can see, I didn't only made it female, since my idea was to make it just as twisted and dark, only with the female touch and as a good jester, I made it in a pose of bowing before the lord of darkness. 😈

He is not here for your amusement. The Twisted Jester is the Captain of the personal bodyguard for the Lord of Darkness himself. While most Dark Eternals completely forget everything from their living past, the memory of his family’s slaughter continues to curse and plague him with rage every day.

This time it was a little difficult to achieve the effect I needed in the position, so I must say that this sketch gave me a nice touch of difficulty. I had to look for a lot of references and material to be able to get the bowing effect I was looking for.

Here I just finished the sketch and also gave it some volume. I also played a little bit with the possible scenario in which I was going to make this jester... I should mention that I decided to change it a little more, referring to the original card, instead of making her the cap that she wears on her head, I decided to simulate that but with her own hair.

There is not much to mention at this point, since I only dedicated myself to place the color palette based on the original card and a little mystery behind it.

At this point, I rendered the whole drawing basically to give it a better finish and, well, also because I was getting closer to the end... I also put some touches of blood splattered in different parts of the skin... Remember, she's evil. 🫣🤫

Already entering the final stretch... I only had to detail things a little better, but the truth is that at this point I decided to change several things, because in my opinion, this lacked evil, darkness, so I had to stop for a moment and rethink my idea, to see where I could change something to give it that touch of darkness that I like so much but that specifically in this work I think I missed... Still if you're a good observer you'll be able to realize that I changed some things anatomically speaking, since I thought I was being a bit exaggerated, so I corrected that mistake. 🤔😭😭

Although the previous image should be almost the end, I couldn't continue that, mostly because there were little things or details that didn't convince me at all, so I made some more modifications, I also added a small teddy bear which would be where this girl puts the daggers, of course I made some modifications to the stuffed animal to adapt it to my piece.
I have downloaded it for free on Pixabay, so to the guy who created it and to the page for having images that always help me.

To finalize, after changing several things I left the face for the end... So basically it was what I worked on the most in the final, besides the changes mentioned in the previous step, I also worked a bit on the stage she is in, and ready, after other touch ups in different parts, my entry was finished and ready to be presented to all of you.
