ONE BUTTON AWAY_30TH JUNE

"I'm going to push the button."

Those were the words I whispered to myself as I stared at my laptop screen.

For weeks, I had been working on my first online article. I had read it over and over again, correcting every mistake I could find. Still, I wasn't sure if it was good enough.

The Publish button sat quietly at the bottom of the page, waiting for me.

"What if people laugh at my writing?" I thought.

"What if nobody reads it?"

I moved the cursor away from the button several times, only to bring it back again. My heart was beating faster than it should have over something so simple.

Then I remembered something my friend once told me.

"You'll never know what you're capable of if you never try."

I took a deep breath.

"I'm going to push the button."

Click.

For a few seconds, nothing happened. Then the page refreshed, and my article was live.

Nobody laughed. In fact, the first comment I received was encouraging. A stranger thanked me for sharing my thoughts.

That day, I realized that fear often makes simple decisions feel impossible. Sometimes, the biggest step forward is simply having the courage to press the button you've been avoiding.

And I'm glad I did.
