I APPLIED FOR THAT__5TH JUNE

Lately, one thing has been on my mind—my IT internship.

As a Geology student at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, it's finally time to start looking for a place where I'll do my Industrial Training (IT). To be honest, I wasn't sure where to begin. I asked a few classmates, spoke with some senior colleagues, and spent hours searching for companies that could accept students like me.

When I finally found a company that looked promising, I didn't waste time. I gathered the required documents and submitted my application.

Now comes the difficult part—waiting.

Waiting can make you overthink everything. You start asking yourself questions like, Did I choose the right place? Will they accept me? Should I have applied somewhere else too?

But I've decided not to let those thoughts get the best of me. At least I took the first step. If this application doesn't work out, I'll apply somewhere else. What matters is that I'm trying instead of sitting back and hoping opportunities find me.

This stage is new to me, and I know many students are going through the same thing. My hope is to secure a placement where I'll learn practical skills that will make me a better geologist in the future.

For now, all I can do is wait and keep hoping for good news.
