How to use Tags on Ecency?

All of us have been newbies at some point and didn't have much idea about tags and their importance. For example, tags didn't seem very important to me. Tag is a piece of information that describes the content that it is assigned to. Using tags is important for effective engagement with Hive users. People can browse though tags to find relevant content. Choosing the right tag will bring popularity to the content. They make the content searchable and indexable. For example, your first indrotuction post can be popular just by using #introduceyourself tag.
Let's talk about Ecency and tags)) One of the easiest way to discover new tags on Ecency is through homepage. You can find it on the left side:

If you post on any community, community name will be considered as the first tag. When you post in a community, the first tag is set automatically to the community id. But if you use Ecency Help community and there's nothing about "Ecency" on that post, it'll abuse the proper use of tags. And readers will find it confusing. Moment you mention the right tag, your content can be found by readers and curators.

Tags are always written in lowercase. Use space to separate them.

The tag you use should match the content you're creating. If you post about crypto using the tag #food according to Hivewatchers, this is called Tag Spam!
Another thing tags are used for is to receive native tokens. When community tags with a native token are used then your post would appear in their community then you might get rewarded for that.
You can use as many tags as you want in your post, but remember that it is easier to find your content with the tags you used in the beginning.
