How My Day Went: A Simple Saturday
Today was just a simple Saturday, but still a good one.
I started my morning when I saw, our cat Hunter, fully stretched on the sofa. He didn't have a single problem in the world. Seeing him like that made me wanna stretch too. 🤣 It felt like a good way to start the day. So relaxed.
We didn't have electricity this morning, so I had to cook breakfast using firewood. It took a bit of time to get the fire going, but that's just how it is. You'll just get used to it. I cooked rice, egg, and tuyo on it. Just a simple food to get us through the morning.
By lunchtime, we had chicken adobo. It didn't look that great in the picture, kind of pale, but it actually tasted really good. HAHA. Sometimes the food doesn't look impressive, but it's the taste that matters anyway.
In the afternoon, I did my usual routine which is feeding the chickens. There are a lot of new chicks now, and it's good to see them growing. In a few months, they'll be full-grown hens and roosters. Something I always look forward to. Two ducklings also joined the flock. And they looked like siblings when they were all together. Though once they get bigger, they won't look the same anymore. Still, it's nice seeing them all eating like that.
Nothing big really happened today, just the usual things, but days like this are fine with me. I still got through the day and did what needed to be done.
That is already enough.
