Hands off my tools
[EN]
Anyone who knows me knows I’m completely obsessed with tools. I’ve got a real arsenal at home: screwdrivers, Phillips, wrenches, ratchets, saws, a drill, an electric screwdriver, pliers, hammers, tape measures… and a bunch of other things that make all the difference when it comes to fixing or building something. And that’s exactly what I love: being able to do pretty much everything on my own without having to borrow from anyone.
I have to admit I’m pretty possessive about my tools. Each one has its own proper spot in my toolboxes and in a special cabinet I keep just for them, and for me they’re always in perfect condition. It’s not just about having tools, it’s about taking care of them, because I know how much they help me in my everyday life.
And honestly… I’m not a big fan of lending them out. A few times I gave in, and when they came back, they weren’t the same as when I handed them over. That makes me REALLY annoyed, because to me respect shows in the little details too. If you borrow something, you should return it exactly the way you got it.
My toolbox that came back broken after the last time I lent it out. 🤡
So yes, my tools are pretty much like a personal treasure. And I love knowing that with them, I can handle just about anything. Autonomy has a name, and in my case, it comes with a drill in my hand and a brand-new hole in the wall. hahaha
This is my entry for this week’s Photo Quest, with the theme ‘Tools’.
