Dad vs. Tropical Depression: A Delicious Victory

Hi, Daily Blog Community. I hope we’re all doing great today. I’m back with another story from my everyday life something exciting, meaningful, and a little bit scary too beacuse today’s blog reminds me that sometimes blessings come from brave efforts and that nature, even when unpredictable, can bring us closer as a family.

This morning started just like any other, but my father and his friend had a mission. They wanted to go to the sea to catch some food fish, crabs and whatever nature would provide. My mom immediately warned them because there was a tropical depression in our area. The storm was named Wilma, and according to her, it was too risky to go fishing. The waves could grow stronger, and the rain might become dangerous. But my dad, being the strong and hardworking person he is. He assured my mom that he would be careful.

Even with the warning, they still went. The rain was heavy at first, like the clouds were pouring all their tears down at once. The sound of the waves felt scary from afar, and we couldn’t help but worry about them. But then, just as fast as it came, the rain stopped. The skies began to clear a little and around 10 AM, something wonderful happened Dad came back home and he was not empty-handed. Dad arrived with a bucket full of fresh catch rabbitfish crabs and even sea urchins. The sea really blessed their effort today.

Of course, when Dad walked in, I immediately helped him clean the fish at our dirty kitchen. I was excited because it meant we could finally enjoy breakfast together. There’s something about eating food you didn't buy from the store food that came directly from nature, brought home by someone you love. It tastes fresher, feels healthier, and makes you appreciate hard work more. While we prepared the food, I remembered something important. Last month, I had a check-up and my doctor told me that my CBC results were not normal. I need more potassium and iron in my body. Maybe because I spend too much time on my cellphone playing Mobile Legends and CODM nonstop. Gaming is fun, but I learned that being too focused on screens can affect your health.

That’s why I was extra happy today. Because instead of spending money, we got natural and nutritious food straight from the sea. Fish and seafood are rich in minerals just what I need to improve my health. It felt like nature said, “Here you go, take care of yourself more!”

Thank you for reading today’s blog! See you again in the next entry, Daily Blog Community!
