Steemit for the win

I've decided with regards to blogging from now on. From the very little that I've seen with Steemit I've noticed something. It's something that I do not see with other platforms, instant gratification. I'm not talking about a fiscal gratification or a follower gratification either. The interaction on Steemit appears to be much greater than other platforms. Who knows, it might be because Steemit is a new platform. It might be that other established platforms make sure you get lost in the crowd. Whatever it is Steemit's user interaction is so much better.

As someone who wants to help others, finding a soapbox in this glut of social media is tough. I'm currently on Tumblr which is a great platform but it's filled with so much twat. I'm not sure the recent buyout by Wordpress' parent company will change that. Blogger sucks, forget about Facebook, and Twitter is cool but dying.

A platform like Steemit seems to encourage interaction. Sure, what I have to say is niche but it's a platform that will tell me if I'm on the right track. That's the most important thing to me. I want to help people not make the same mistakes, or give them ideas, or at the very least hope. Seeing Upvotes or Downvotes will help with that. I do feel that people will see me which I don't on other platforms.

Most of all people on Steemit don't seem to be passive. People on Steemit seem to want to comment. That doesn't seem to happen on other platforms.

It is for this reason I am going to republish all my posts from Wooden Wookie on this site. Doing this will give me a much better idea of how I'm writing than using Google Analytics or even Medium.
