A mixed day

We’re in Taupo this long weekend but yesterday we went to Rotorua, about an hour’s drive. We visited my sister who I haven’t seen in a while. My oldest nephew is having a baby in December so we dropped off some gifts that Mrs Wookie made for them. My sister’s looking good, she’s lost a lot of weight so good for her.

After that we dropped off a gift for a couple that Mrs Wookie’s mum used to work for. Nice place out in the country over looking Lake Rotorua. Amazing views.

We then went to the Skyline Gondolas to go for a ride and then have a couple of live rides. Holy cow balls Batman, not only could we not find a car park, but even if we could the wait would be mental and the amount of people would make it horrible . So we called it and went rock climbing.

Little Wookie LOVES rock climbing. I wish we had something where we live but we have the YMCA which only has one wall so not worth it.

Getting Little Wookie to go home was a nightmare. But we had to go because the trip was an hour long. It was dark when we got back. In all fairness, since daylight savings has ended it’s always dark at 17:30.

It was a nice day all in all but I really would have liked to ride the luge.
