Wine Travel

Cheers Hive! There are so many reasons why I love wine. One of them being the ability to time travel. Last night I enjoyed a nice 2006 Shiraz from South Australia. Shiraz is actually Syrah, but below the south of the equator, they call it Shiraz.

Decanting is always something I do with red wine, and especially with older wines. That way I can have no sediment in my glass. This wine was not to bad. It was a little hot, coming in at 15.2% ALC! Not that I am complain, but a well balanced wine is around 13%. I bet that this wine was a whole lot better 10-7 years ago. But for being 16 years old, not to shabby at all. :)
