Sodom & Gomorra

So, y´all know the story, several cities felt the wrath of The Almighty, fire and brimstone and all that...! Now I reckon most people would agree that this event (did it take place) would have been at a grand scale, and, within all reason, we should be able to pinpoint where this all went down. Well, I`m not so sure its that simple, even though Biblical Archeologists seem to have it all figured out. I mean, a pillar of salt, as eluded in several places of Scriptures and the Apocrypha, should be a mean hint and really not that hard to find...

EVERYONE that regularly checks up on my blog, knows I am I deep favour of Africa and basically think all modern history are mere speculations devoid of any regard for what nature and logic screams out to us. Like the ever-present connection between nature and the Bible, animals and well known being a solid hint, oh... you know what I am getting at. Yes Southern Africa was/is Isreal, and the descendants of David and Abraham alike can still be found there today.

Now, back on topic, Sodom and Gomorra, Although I am in no wise certain of this, I have yet to find suitable (well known anyways) areas closer to the area of the Transkei and Ciskei, I certainly would consider Ethiopias Danakil Depression a likely candidate for being the areas of the reputed Five Cities (Pentapolis).

Now the area was said to have been fuming for several decades (hundreds or thousands, who knows), has had its last volcanic activity somewheres in the 1920`s.

This would mean that perhaps this area was fuming with smoke (Wisdom of Solomon 10,6-8), with at pilar of salt for all to see AND fruit that does not ripe... Hm. This should narrow the list considerably, right? I have failed to find that fruit, as of yet, but I believe that when I do, the actual place of the fabled cities will be reveal.

By bet, they where all somewheres in vast area of black and beautiful Africa, not in the Middle East :)
