🌋 VOLCANO PAD THAI 🌋

We had a chance to visit Burirum, a province up in Northern Thailand (or called Isaan). This is either my first or second (that I don't remember the first at all) time visiting Burirum. A lot of things are quite exotic to me. Many new kinds of food, new kinds of clothing, even different language they speak here. They speak Northeastern Thai language. I don't remember many things catches my attention like this one thing does though, Volcano Pad Thai!

Pad Thai (ผัดไท)

A stir-fried rice noodle dish with sweet and sour taste from mainly tamarind sauce, fish sauce, and palm sugar. Can be served with variety of veggies and meat like chicken, pork, shrimp. My fav would be with big shrimps! Quite well known not for just here but all around the world! So I doubt you don't know the dish.

If you look at my Hive profile name again, you know it's something about 'Pad Thai'. Yes, just trying to tell you this account will share a lot more than just that one famous Thai dish.

I mean, I have tried a dime a dozen of Pad Thai. Many kinds of noodles and ingredients they put in. Though, have I ever had a 'Volcano Pad Thai' before? I barely think so and that's the reason we went for it and found out what it is exactly!

Volcano Pad Thai (ผัดไทภูเขาไฟ)

This is so funny and simple as that, the noodle they use, is made from the rice that's grown on a volcano land! and let's imagine, what's on the volcano land? A soil from volcano which has certain nutrients from the volcano. Hope that doesn't sound so crazy because I think it kind of makes sense. Though, does it taste any different than other noodle? I hardly think so. It's cool to know how and where it's grown though!

Not only Pad Thai but they also offer Volcano Fried Rice! Same concept, the rice they use is from the same source.

Padthai volcano Original (ผัดไทภูเขาไฟ บ้านครูกานต์ ต้นตำรับ )

This one claim to be an original volcano Pad Thai so here we went. Love the set up. Quite simple but eye catching. One thing that is really cool and funny is that there's loud music playing all the time. When someone order, the DJ (did I just type a 'DJ'?) will turn the music down, order the food through microphone and continue the music again.

The food! Doesn't only sound fancy 'PadThai Volcano' but the presentation is also 'wow'. Pad Thai can have an egg wrap add on so the whole thing is wrapped inside a thin layer of omelette. Served with veggies and other condiments. Another cute gimmick is that, it's not served on a regular plate but on a natural material woven tray. Fun! and yes, Yum! too.
