No One Knows What a Day May Bring Forth

Somehow I survived work today. While several co-workers went outdoors to enjoy the sun and warmer temperatures, I stayed indoors battling nausea and the migraine which brought the symptoms. I worked with a concentration of disadvantage trying to process calls with the usual 100% accuracy while performing far below my normal acuity.

After generic migraine meds failed me in addition to Claritin D, I took a sample of a new migraine medicine Ubrelvy. It may have helped or may not have. I had botox injections for migraine on 03/03/21 and had been celebrating that the past month had less migraines than I usually experience weeks prior to the injections administered by my neurologist. I secretly mused that God knew my recent suffering amidst covid-19 for three weeks so he gave me an unexpected pass. It could still be.

Barometric pressure changes, Spring and Fall alike can trigger migraines. Post injection migraines take on different characteristics. At least head splitting pain is reduced, but aphasia (difficulty speaking) and brain fog still abound. I pray during work that I don't make mistakes because, if listened to, I will fail that appraisal. That happened while I was dealing with the covid-19. I can't afford to hurt my metrics again.

I developed a stitch in my side later I'm the afternoon and tried to discover why. An internet search suggested running, doesn't apply, posture probably hunched over the screen more during this episode and dehydration. Since I'd taken a Claritin D that is highly possible. Knowing why I suffered doesn't always help much, but I did quickly drink more fluid and lay down to stretch a bit. Maybe mixing allergy meds with the Ubrelvy was contradictory.

I called the family doctor who gave me my first allergy injection the same day as my neurologist gave me her botox to ask for something else to take. I went back to work and saw a text that he ordered prednisone. I didn't go pick it up yet because I hate the side effects and the weird hunger and sleeplessness. Who knew he'd choose that? The shot last week was a steroid, too.

So, contradictions aside, I made it to quitting time and forced a peanut butter and butter sandwich down my throat although I had no appetite. I hate waking hungry in the night if I have a migraine and go to bed without eating.

Tomorrow should be a better day and I am praying earnestly for that.
