Idolising
Is there anyone I admire? The answer is no. I have never been that kind of girl making someone her hero. I never was crazy enough about an artist, actor or so ever. It's not that I can't tell the difference between good and bad. It's not that I respect people for what they do for others but admiring is not the word I would use for that. I respect, recognize, appreciate and might cherish but I do not adore or idolize.
Idolizing is one step too much.
To me, people are people, humans, individuals, not gods who deserve to be idolized or seen differently. So no, I didn't applaud doctors, nurses, teachers. To me, they are just doing their job. A job that isn't volunteering. We do not applaud the garbage collector, the bus driver, mechanic or the shop owner who nearly goes bankrupt. All people we need in the society we like to live in. Imagine what your life would look like if you had to take care of your garbage yourself in your own house/garden.
