Groan in the Night

You hear it too? It's not the howling of wolves, no owls calling, no cats on the roof searching for company.

I got out of bed and peeped through the curtains to have a look.

It's a bright night, full moon...
I shiver and wait...

There it is again...
It's freezing but I can't go back
The geoan in the night can clearly be heard
At least by me.

I seek company, I hear a voice in my head
If there's room can we share
Your bed?
I am warm enough for two.
