It was a Hot and Tiring but Fulfilling Walk with Nature 🌿
The weather has been very unpredictable lately. It should already be the rainy season, but we are only experiencing rain in the evening. It is still hot and sunny in the morning. Though the weather has changed, it could also be favorable for some. Like, for someone who wants to go for a long walk, like me. 😁
Surrounding our house are tall trees like avocados, mahogany, and some cotton fruit trees. Despite that beautiful greenery, I am still eager to go out somewhere with even more trees.
I went out with my friends and explored a nearby mountain. The path was steep, rocky, and uneven, yet I enjoyed every step from the foot to the top of the mountain. Tall trees were shielding us from the harsh sun. I love all the sounds I hear. From the soft breeze, the rustling of leaves, and the chirping.
When we reached the top, we saw a lot of people. Some were having a family picnic under a small tree. Some were just taking pictures around. I felt an unusual but positive feeling seeing the whole sky above you as if it were just a few meters away. You can see the Guimaras-Iloilo Straight and the city across the island.
We stayed there for a while, and after a few hours of walking and photographing, we decided to head back. It was a short and simple hike with my friends, but I truly treasured it.
