Why Are Liberal White so Enamored with Muslim?

Well, I had a very interesting experience this week. I just thought I would share it with you. I got a phone call from my buddy, one of my best friends for over 40 years, rock solid guy, 100% steady. And he calls me and he says, "Brother, can you make some sense out of this for me?" He said, "What is going on?" And I said, "What happened?" He said, "Well, I'm at this restaurant today."

Now, I'm going to give you a little background just so you know. This was in a part of Western Washington that is very liberal, very upper middle to wealthy income status. Um, educated, you know, let's just say gone to school a lot and white. I mean, really white. Uh, now that doesn't mean that there might not be some people of color there somewhere, but predominantly white.

And the point of this conversation is it would be extremely unlikely that the women involved in this conversation that John overheard ever went to school with anybody that was Muslim. There is, I can't imagine that there would be any there in that particular neighborhood.

So John tells me that this group of young, you know, 20-something women are having lunch and he said they are going on and on and on about how excited they are that Zoran Mani won this election in New York because this was an indication that the Muslims might take over the country and install Sharia law and Muslim men really know how to treat a girl. This was the point. He says, he says what? This is weird. He said, yeah. He said Sharia law these women seem to feel like this was the most wonderful condition.

And here's the point that really got him. He said they were going on and on about how excited they were that under Sharia law that non-Muslim men who don't know how to treat women apparently would either have to convert to Islam or be castrated or killed. And they thought this was just the most wonderful thing and how this would benefit young women.

And he said, "Can you just can you make sense out of this for me?" And I said, "No, man." I said, "No, I can't make sense out of that," or a lot of other things. Because this world right now is just senseless.
