RobinHood acquired Bitstamp!

Hi HODLers, Hiveans and Lions,

RobinHood the fintech which became popular following the MEME stock craze back in 2020-2021 had acquired Bitstamp, a cryptocurrency exchange platform, for 200 million dollars.

With more than 50 active licenses and registrations worldwide, Bitstamp represents a strategic opportunity for Robinhood. This acquisition provides a solid foundation for the company’s global expansion.

Robinhood has been one of the major onramp to go from legacy finance to cryptocurrencies for normies.

This is a very interesting and positive acquisition for the cryptoworld in my opinion.. Robinhood master stock and options trading. It ventured into cryptocurrencies and retirement accounts. Lately it built a somewhat sizeable retirement business with a big promotion for users to bring their IRAs.

At the same time, it has been pushing to consolidate its Crypto business and has ambitions to move to Europe (where I believe it would have a sizeable tech and product advantage versus existing banks).

Some are voicing concerns that Europe is going to lose its crypto companies one by one!

In any case, I added $HOOD in my stock portfolio a while back as MEME stocks ad Cryptos were performing well, I believe #RobinHood would benefit from it.
