Hola, amigos de la comunidad.
Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes unas imágenes captadas desde la playa Allende, en Matanzas, Cuba, en medio de la reciente amenaza ciclónica que se aproxima a nuestras costas. Todos escuchamos por estos días la amenaza de la Tormenta Tropical Melissa que puede cruzar y afectar el territorio nacional por algún lugar de Cuba en las próximas horas.

Esto siempre es motivo de preocupación porque las afectaciones de un evento como este viene a agravar la ya difícil situación que tenemos.
La playa que les muestro en las imágenes corresponden al norte de Matanzas, que al parecer por influencia de una vaguada hizo que el mar se pusiera un poco furioso.

El mar, normalmente sereno, parecía hoy hablar en voz alta.
Sus olas golpeaban con fuerza, levantando espuma blanca que el viento esparcía como un mensaje del cielo.
Se puede sentir un hipnotismo en ese movimiento constante, en esa furia que no es rabia, sino naturaleza cumpliendo su ciclo. Pero alertandonos de alguna manera de lo que viene detrás.

El cielo gris se fundía con el horizonte, y cada ola parecía anunciar que la calma no siempre es el lenguaje del mar.
En su fuerte rugido también hay belleza, respeto y advertencia.
Mirando esa escena comprendes lo pequeños que somos ante el poder de la naturaleza, y lo mucho que debemos aprender de su equilibrio.

When the Sea Speaks Out Loud

Hello, friends of the community.
Today I want to share with you some images captured from Allende Beach, in Matanzas, Cuba, in the midst of the recent cyclonic threat approaching our coasts.
These days we’ve all heard about the Tropical Storm Melissa, which may cross and affect some part of Cuba in the coming hours.

This is always a cause for concern, as the impact of an event like this only worsens the already difficult situation we are living through.
The beach shown in these images belongs to the northern coast of Matanzas, where, apparently due to the influence of a trough, the sea turned somewhat furious.

The sea, usually calm, seemed to speak out loud today.
Its waves crashed powerfully, lifting white foam that the wind scattered like a message from the sky.
There is something hypnotic in that constant movement, in that fury that isn’t anger, but nature fulfilling its cycle while somehow warning us of what might come next.

The gray sky blended into the horizon, and each wave seemed to announce that calm is not always the sea’s language.
Within its strong roar there is also beauty, respect, and warning.
Watching that scene makes you realize how small we are before the power of nature, and how much we still have to learn from its balance.
