What is the differences between brushed chrome & brushed nickel ????

I in the middle of a full home renovation and was wondering what the differences between brushed chrome & brushed nickel ???

I bought some taps (brushed nickel) for the bathroom and now ordered some great lights but only had brushed chrome.

These are the color differences
Nickel - A metal mixed with iron and brass - more of a brass brown color.

Chrome - has a little extra harness and a shiny finish - more shiny and silver.

It looks like the same texture and planted metal and have a high resistance to corrosion.

QUESTION:
So have your had stuck to one color or had majority in brushed nickel and could have the lights in a chrome finish ????
Has someone mixed the two together????
