General Assembly Experience
When I arrived at the venue around 8:00 am, there were already a lot of students. They’re all busy with their attendance cards.
This attendance card is a good strategy to make the attendance process more convenient and fast.
They did not start the event immediately because there were still students who were claiming their attendance card. Hence, we were there — sitting and had nothing to do aside from playing offline games.
Around 9:15 am, the program has started. It started with prayer, followed by the Philippine national anthem, and CRMC hymn.
The assembly was all about the future plans of the newly elected SSG for the welfare of students and the school. They also present the accomplishment reports of last academic year that was led by the former student leaders.
Of course, the assembly would be boring without fun. Hence, they had games as ice breaker in which it needed at least 1 representative per department. It was fun! The venue was filled with laughter and every student were energized.
Around 11:00 am, the program has to come to an end. Unfortunately, it rained and we’re left with no choice but to walk under the pouring rain.
Overall, the general assembly was a mix of tiring, informative, and fun experiences. Despite the long wait and the unexpected rain at the end, the event still became meaningful because it showcased the future plans of the SSG, celebrated the past achievements of student leaders, and gave students moments of laughter and enjoyment through games. It was a day that reminded me that even in crowded and exhausting situations, there are always small highlights that make the experience worthwhile.
