Got my second Pfizer/BioNTech shot :) No real side effects after 2nd dose so far.

Habe gestern Abend die zweite Pfizer/BNT Comirnaty Corona-Impfung bekommen und es ist wie versprochen Zeit für ein kleines Impfupdate.

Ich möchte hier jetzt keine Impfdiskussion vom Zaun brechen, sondern kurz meine persönlichen Erfahrungen zu den Impfreaktionen schildern. Jeder muss selbst entscheiden, ob man sich impfen lässt oder nicht. Letztendlich ist es wie immer eine individuelle Risikoabwägung.

Update zum ersten Shot

Das war die emotionalste Impfung bis jetzt in meinem Leben und daher auch mit ein bisschen Stress und Angst vor Impfreaktionen verbunden.

Ich habe den ersten Shot eigentlich ziemlich gut vertragen und wie berichtet keine wirklichen Nebenwirkungen gehabt, außer die Schmerzen im Oberarm, wo ich geimpft wurde.

Ein paar Tage später habe ich dann noch eine (unbegründete) Thrombose-Panikattacke bekommen, die aber höchst wahrscheinlich nichts mit der Impfung zu tun hatte.

Bin am Vortag in der Küche leicht gestürzt und am nächsten Tag hat mir das rechte Bein weh getan, wenn ich es im Stehen angehoben habe, was fast nicht mehr gegangen ist (Schweregefühl und Schmerzen, ähnlich wie bei einem Muskelkater im Oberschenkel auf der Innenseite). Habe Angst vor einer Thrombose bekommen, aber es war dann zum Glück harmlos und ist nach ein paar Tagen wieder vergangen.

Denke eher nicht, dass es mit der Impfung, sondern eher mit dem Sturz zu tun hatte. Man sieht an dem Beispiel sehr gut, dass es schwer ist, Nebenwirkungen eindeutig der Impfung zuzuschreiben, da statistisch auch alle anderen möglichen Erkrankungen/Unfälle nach einer Impfung passieren können, die nichts mit der Impfung zu tun haben.

Zweiter Shot

Mittlerweile sind 24h nach dem zweiten Shot vergangen. Circa 8-12 Stunden nach der Impfung habe ich wieder ziemlich starke Schmerzen im Oberarm, wo ich geimpft wurde, bekommen, die immer noch anhalten, aber nicht stärker sind als beim ersten Shot. Den Impfstich selbst habe ich beinahe nicht gespürt, da eine besonders feine Nadel zum Einsatz gekommen ist.

Ansonsten fühle ich mich vielleicht subjektiv ein bisschen müder, aber habe kein Fieber (beim ersten Shot +0.2 C subjektiver Anstieg der Körpertemperatur auf 36.9 C, jetzt 36.6 C) und auch sonst keine Impfreaktionen bis jetzt.

Hoffe das bleibt so :) Auf Holz klopfen. Sollten noch Nebenwirkungen auftreten, werde ich unter diesem Beitrag noch ein Update posten.

Yesterday evening, I received my second Pfizer/BNT Comirnaty Corona vaccine shot, and as promised it is time for a small vaccination update.

I don't want to start a vaccine discussion here, but rather describe my personal experience with the vaccine side effects and reactions briefly. Everybody has to decide for oneself if one wants to be vaccinated or not. Ultimately, as always, it is an individual risk assessment.

Update on the first shot

This was the most emotional vaccination so far in my life, and therefore also associated with a bit of stress and anxiety about vaccine reactions.

I actually tolerated the first shot pretty well and as reported had no real side effects except for the pain in my upper arm where I was vaccinated.

Then a few days later I had an (unfounded) thrombosis panic attack, but most likely it had nothing to do with the vaccine.

I had a light fall in the kitchen the day before and the next day my right leg hurt when I tried to lift my leg in standing position, which almost didn't work (feeling of heaviness and pain, similar to a sore muscle on the inside of the tigh). Got scared of thrombosis, but it was fortunately harmless and was gone after a few days.

I don't think it had anything to do with the vaccine though, but rather with the fall. One can see in this example that it is difficult to clearly attribute side effects to the vaccination, since statistically all other possible illnesses/accidents can also happen after a vaccination, which have nothing to do with the vaccine.

Second Shot

Meanwhile 24 hours have passed after the second dose. Approximately 8-12 hours after the shot, I got quite severe pain in the upper arm again where I was vaccinated, which still persists, but is not stronger than the first shot. I almost didn't feel the sting itself, since a special fine needle was used.

Other than that, I may feel a bit more tired subjectively, but have no fever (first shot +0.2 C subjective increase in body temperature to 36.9 C, now 36.6 C) and no other vaccination reactions so far.

Hope it stays like that :) Knock on wood. If there are still side effects, I will post another update under this post.
