I’ll be honest. At first, I was excited—AI felt like magic. You type something in, and boom: it gives you a result that would have taken you hours, days, maybe even months. It felt like having a super-intelligent friend who never gets tired, never complains, never says no. But then I started to notice something else… a quiet shift.

AI is not merely making things faster, it is transforming how you view your own value. When the machine can do in a few seconds what took you days of labor, you begin to ask yourself: “Am I still useful? Does it even make a difference what I do?” That is where no one really talks about it. We speak of productivity, we speak of efficiency and yet we remain silent about that silent identity crisis that AI creates in people like you and me.

But this is the thing that struck me: AI is making us confront reality about what it means to be human. Yes, AI can write, paint, code, compose, and even simulate emotions--but it does not feel. It never questions like you do when you go to create something. It neither laments a sentence that you have put too much of your heart into. It does not understand what it means to look at a blank screen, struggling with the voice in its head, saying, “You are not good enough.”

And weirdly enough, that’s where I find comfort. AI may be brilliant, but it doesn’t live. It doesn’t hurt. It doesn’t hope. That’s still ours.

Another thing I can’t stop thinking about is how AI is shifting our relationships. Conversations that used to be raw and messy between people are now often being softened or polished by machines. The way we express love, anger, vulnerability—it’s changing. Sometimes I worry that if we let AI do too much for us, we’ll forget how to sit in silence with someone, how to stumble over words, how to be beautifully imperfect. Because AI makes things neat. Humans… we’re not neat. And that’s the beauty of us.

I guess what I’m trying to say is this: AI is changing everything, but the biggest shift isn’t in our offices, it’s in our souls. It’s asking us to redefine what creativity really means. It’s pushing us to remember that our value isn’t in how fast we can produce, but in the raw, messy, emotional weight behind everything we create.

So yes, AI can outwrite me, outthink me, even outplan me sometimes. But it can’t out-feel me. And maybe, just maybe, that’s where our real power lies.
