Why Many People Hide Their True Selves
A lot of people used to hide their true nature, self, and how they feel from the general public. There are several reasons why people do so, but we can't hide the fact that it is not a good thing at all, especially given the fact that a problem shared is a problem half solved. But nowadays many prefer to keep their situation to themselves rather than share it. What can be done to turn such things around? Below I'll be responding to that question and several others, to name but a few.
I believe there are lots of reasons why many tend to hide their true self, nature, or situation from others, and one of them is because of their insecurity; many don't want people to know they're shy, that they're broke, or that they are not up to the level they want to be. Others don't want to share their true selves with others because of the way the general public often handles situations. There are people who show their true selves and end up being mocked or ridiculed for it. It's because many want to avoid such things; that's why they don't want to share their true situations or selves with people.
Among those who avoid sharing their true self with people because of how they'll mishandle it or turn it into a community topic is me, and I've learnt to just hold my peace and be mindful of what I share with people. I don't want a situation where I'll share things with someone in confidence, and before I know it, they have turned into a community discussion. I love living a private life, and sharing everything about me is an avenue to expose myself and become a public entity; that's why I am one of those who hide my true self.
How society can correct that and make people more open-minded is to learn to accept people the way they are. You can't judge people for what they do, how they act, and the like and expect others to open up to you. Everyone loves their peace, and they know your reaction or words can jeopardize that peace; that's why they'd rather hide their true self than show it and get ridiculed.
A very big thanks you for your time, have a wonderful time and stay blessed now and always. Cheers...
