Hive Through My Eyes: Draining or Empowering?
Hive is a blockchain that has been around for years and has had lots of impact on people's lives. But talking about the impact it has had, are they positive ones or negative impacts? To be honest, no one is perfect, and that includes platforms like Hive, but then I believe different individuals have different thoughts about Hive because what I experienced about it might totally be different from what someone else's is. And that's why below I'll be talking about my take regarding if Hive is draining or helping me, so without further ado let's get to it.
You see, when I first joined Hive and even before I did, I was made to understand that the more you give is most likely going to determine how much you get back and also how it's more or less a game of luck, and I've seen that evidently in the lives of some authors who I believe are devoted and at the same time talented in their skills or writing and yet don't get the rewards they seem to deserve for what they're inputting onto the blockchain. Meanwhile, there are others who are giving the same energy or even less and are getting recognized and rewarded for their input, and it makes you wonder what it really takes to get noticed and rewarded.
The above scenario I painted is just to help you understand how different people will think about Hive. Someone who's putting lots of effort and getting little would feel like Hive is draining rather than helping them, and for that reason, they would quit. While those who are getting a kind of recognition or rewards would think the opposite, because HIVE is obviously helping them. But what is HIVE doing to me personally? To me, Hive is helping me, and I'd state how below.
You see, the first reason Hive was helping me was in the finance aspect, meeting my financial needs and helping me get some necessities I wouldn't have been able to afford if Hive hadn't helped me. Even though the value of Hive is deep, it's still playing some sort of role in helping me in the financial aspect, although little, but it's something. But different from that, it's also helping me fulfill my hobby of writing and giving me a platform to drop my pieces, which in itself is helping me to be me, and so for that reason I'd say Hive is helping and not draining me; after all, I do things here at my own pace.
