Tip #5:

If you are hard up for cash, whether you are a student, unemployed, or in a rut, you can go to rubbish tip 'shops'. A lot of people are not aware that they even exist. You would be surprised at what people throw out. Dump managers employ people to sift through rubbish and pick out metals and sellable items. I have a wicked collection of vinyl records from these joints. There is furniture, lawn mowers, toys, pretty much everything. You can haggle because they want to turn over stock and they really got it for nothing anyway. They spruce stuff up but give em a good clean and disinfect if ya worried.
