San Francisco Pride Parade 2018
It was unexpected to meet this fun and noisy procession on the streets of San Francisco. Unexpectedly for those who are not in the know 😊 My husband went for a walk in the largest city of Silicon Valley and suddenly got on a holiday.
It turns out that San Francisco is among the capitals of the informal movement. This gay parade, the largest of its kind.
Interestingly, there are minority delegations from the most popular world companies - for example, Microsoft, Twitter, Netflix, PayPal. They use this event as free publicity.
The event lasts from June 23 to 25, the parade itself is only on Sunday. Well, of course, there are policemen, firefighters and representatives of the city hall; transvestite theater and some kind of children's theater.
In San Francisco, in the Eureka Valley area, there is The Castro gay district. It is also famous for running the historic F Market & Wharves electric tram.
