A very readable article - thank you for that. As a nature-conscious person, I welcome every initiative that helps to make our world a little better. Politically, I tend to keep a low profile, but not everything that is decided or implemented seems sensible to me.
I take a particularly critical view of companies that have contributed significantly to environmental pollution over decades - and actively blocked sustainable developments in the process - hiding behind an environmental protection label today and profiting from it again. Once again, of course, supposedly for the good of the planet and humanity. In the end, unfortunately, it's mostly all about business.
Many ideas that are being sold as innovative today were already being discussed decades ago - as students, we also loudly pointed out alternatives over 30 years ago. Be it chemical-free clothing or an education system that embeds sustainability more firmly. Unfortunately, then as now, it often remained mere lip service.
